FAQ
What is the quadratic formula?
x = [−b ± √(b² − 4ac)] / 2a. If the discriminant b² − 4ac is positive there are two real roots, zero gives one repeated root, negative gives complex roots.
Example?
x² − 3x + 2 = 0: Δ = 1, x = (3 ± 1)/2, so x = 2 or x = 1.
